No one likes having the result “Not Competent” but it can happen to anyone. The question is, how do you deal with the situation?
I appear to be an expert at this. Failing brings out lots of emotions….panic, embarrassment, feeling of disheartenment, but it is these emotions that will motivate you to pick yourself up and carry on. I believe failing has made me a stronger student.
My top tips on preparing for the retake of your assessment :-
- Remember you are not alone. You have tutors and other students that are available to help you.
- Get the feedback from the examination centre. This points the areas that need extra attention given.
- Talk to your tutor and discuss if there is any additional help they may be able to give.
- Use all the resources that both your training provider and the AAT provide. This is vital.
And practice, practice and practice.
And Good Luck
